During the development of Blur Busters Motion Tests at www.testufo.com, extensive tests were made in all major web browsers.
This graph shows wide variances in motion fluidity within different web browsers that support VSYNC at 60Hz, 100Hz and 120Hz. During development, Mozilla added 120 Hz support to FireFox 24+ pre-beta.
Presently, Internet Explorer 10 stands out as the only web browser that is unable to do 120fps@120Hz, despite consuming nearly 0 percent CPU on a fast graphics card. It was found that Internet Explorer has an internal framerate cap of 105fps! We are currently hoping Microsoft removes this framerate limiter.
